Each type of tape is used in different industries, and has its own characteristics and functions. The following introduces the application and description of ten kinds of tape in the die-cutting industry.

1. Scotch tape

Explanation: Transparent tape is made of transparent PET or BOPP film as the base material, coated with modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides, and equipped with white silicone-treated release paper as the isolation paper. It is thinner and more uniform in thickness compared to cotton paper tape. It has the characteristics of transparency, non-absorbency, strong adhesion, water resistance, vapor resistance, UV resistance, and aging resistance.

Features: Strong adhesion, double-sided sticking, high tensile strength.

Applications: Used in the shoe and leather industry, thin film switches, electronics, circuit boards, etc.

2、BOPP sealing tape

Explanation: BOPP tape is made of BOPP film as the base material, coated with water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has the characteristics of low cost and wide application.

Features: Strong adhesion, high tensile strength, good water resistance, and weather resistance. It can adapt to a wide temperature range.

Applications: Can be used in various export packaging for firm and protective purposes.

3、Cloth-based tape

Explanation: Cloth-based adhesive tape is made of mesh cloth treated with PE resin and coated with oil-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has excellent initial tack, water resistance, moisture resistance, and is suitable for bonding heavy objects and easy tearing.

Features: Strong adhesion, easy tearing, high fatigue resistance, moisture resistance, and no deformation during cutting.

4、Foam tape

Explanation: Foam tape is made of EVA or PE foam as the base material, coated with solvent-based (or hot-melt) pressure-sensitive adhesive on one or both sides, and then adhered with release paper. It has sealing and cushioning effects.

Features: Excellent sealing property, compression deformation resistance, flame resistance, and penetration resistance.

Applications: Widely used in electronic and electrical products, mechanical parts, various small household appliances, mobile phone accessories, industrial instruments, computers and peripheral equipment, automotive accessories, audio and video equipment, toys, cosmetics, etc.

5、Kraft paper tape

Explanation: Kraft paper tape is made of kraft paper as the base material, coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side, with high adhesion strength, good weather resistance, water resistance, frost resistance, easy tearing, and is an ideal green product.

Features: Strong adhesion, high tensile strength, tearable by hand, no deformation, pollution-free, recyclable.

Applications: Jointing and sealing.

6、Masking tape

Explanation: Masking tape is a high-quality masking adhesive tape made of crepe paper as the base material, coated with rubber-based or hot-melt adhesive. It has the characteristics of tight adhesion, easy removal, solvent resistance, water resistance, and is widely used in masking during surface spraying.

Features: Natural color, excellent consistency, strong adhesion, no residual adhesive when removed, recyclable, smooth tape edge when unwinding, no fluffing or tearing.

7、PVC protective film tape

9、Copper foil tape

It has good UV resistance, resistance to certain chemicals, moisture resistance, and flame resistance. It is mainly used in refrigeration and electronics-related industries.

10、PET double-sided tape
